Thorne Supplements
Thorne specializes in absolutely pure and highly bioavailable nutritional products of the highest possible quality made from natural raw materials. All ingredients are carefully tested to ensure that they do not contain solvents or diluting agents, which unfortunately are very common in raw materials used for minerals and vitamins. Thorne also does not allow additives such as preservatives, colorants, genetic modification, or hydrogenated fats (machine lubricants) such as magnesium stearate and stearic acid. All products are developed through thorough research in collaboration with universities and produced under very strict control with extensive GMP standards under the supervision of TGA, Australia.
Why do we no longer sell Thorne?
Thorne is a brand that has been with us since Greatlife first started. When we initially began working with Thorne, it was a company with a clear focus on high-quality raw materials and well-thought-out formulations. Over the years, however, the company has been sold to several larger entities, and following the most recent change of ownership, both the Nordic distributor and we unfortunately feel that the focus on raw material quality is no longer at the level we consider necessary.
The Nordic distributor from whom we previously purchased Thorne products has therefore chosen to end the collaboration, and we have made the same assessment. Greatlife should be associated with the absolute highest quality, and we continuously develop our product range in that direction. At present, we unfortunately do not believe that Thorne meets the quality standards we want to represent.
The good news is that we have already developed replacements for many of the products that are now being discontinued. Because we place great emphasis on raw material quality and carefully select the best ingredients available, this does not mean any compromise for you as a customer – quite the opposite. In many cases, these formulations exceed the level that Thorne previously offered.
Another important difference is the packaging. Our supplements are packaged in dark glass jars instead of white plastic containers. Dark glass protects the contents better from light and also ensures that the product does not come into contact with plastic materials that may release microplastics or unwanted chemical substances.
