Thorne is a brand that has been part of our range since Greatlife began. When we first started working with Thorne, it was a company with a clear focus on high-quality raw materials and well-designed formulations. Over the years, however, the company has been sold on to various larger organisations, and following the most recent change of ownership both the Nordic distributor and we unfortunately feel that the focus on raw material quality is no longer at the level we consider necessary.
The Nordic distributor from whom we previously sourced Thorne products has therefore chosen to end the collaboration, and we have reached the same conclusion. Greatlife should be associated with the very highest quality, and we continuously develop our product range in that direction. Although Thorne is still a good brand, we unfortunately feel that it currently no longer fits the level of quality we want to represent.
The good news is that we have already developed replacements for many of the products that are now being discontinued. Because we place great importance on raw material quality and carefully select the best ingredients available, this does not represent a compromise for you as a customer – quite the opposite. In many cases these are formulations that exceed the level previously offered by Thorne.
Another important difference is the packaging. Our supplements are packaged in dark glass jars rather than white plastic containers. Dark glass protects the contents better from light and also ensures that the product does not come into contact with plastic materials that may release microplastics or unwanted chemical substances.
